About the role

Lendable is revolutionising the credit card industry by making financial tools accessible, intuitive, and empowering. With successful launches in the UK and the US, we are now setting our sights on a new, large international market. Our mobile app-first credit card products are designed to help credit builders manage their finances and improve their credit ratings effectively.
We are on the hunt for a smart, analytical and scrappy Senior Product Manager to lead the launch and development of our new credit card product from scratch in this exciting new geography. This role is not just about managing a product but building one from the ground up - starting with a minimum viable product (MVP) and scaling it into a market-leading offering.
You will help us solve how to:
> Acquire customers in an efficient and differentiated way
> Help our customers build good repayment habits and improve their financial lives
> Delight our customers to drive engagement and retention
> Build a technical platform that allows us to quickly test and learn

What you'll be doing

  • Spearhead the development of the initial MVP to quickly test assumptions and learn from real user interactions. Rapidly iterate based on feedback to refine and expand the product.
  • Craft and execute a clear, effective product strategy for entering and scaling in the new market. Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through launch and beyond.
  • Take charge of the product design and UX to ensure that every feature not only meets the functional needs but also delights customers. Your goal is to create a seamless and engaging user experience.
  • Lead and collaborate with Engineering, Credit, Design, Marketing, and external partners, including third-party vendors, to ensure a cohesive development and launch process.
  • Use both quantitative and qualitative data to prioritise the product backlog, make strategic adjustments, and measure the effectiveness of new features and user engagement.
  • Tailor the product features and operations to align with local market characteristics and regulatory requirements, ensuring a successful and compliant rollout.
  • This role will cover all aspects of credit card product management, and you will partner with our MD & Engineering team to define and deliver our product roadmap. You will ensure we are launching successfully and build an engaging and profitable product.
  • It is your job to break down complex tasks into bite-sized deliverables. We have some of the best engineers in the industry and we need you to help us showcase their talent to the world.
  • Your experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a Strategy, Analytics or Product role
  • 3+ years of experience in Credit Cards
  • How you'll contribute to the Product Team's objectives

  • Leadership: as a product leader, you will drive the quarterly OKR process (together with the MD) and do what it takes to deliver on them. You’re able to make tough decisions & trade offs - especially when faced with high ambiguity. You own these decisions but also course correct when needed. Through all this, you are always striving to build a High Performing Team and work with the team leadership to improve yourself, others and the team overall
  • Problem-solving; consistently breaking down complex business problems into bite-sized chunks. Complex tasks don’t intimidate you and you can break down a complex problem into parts
  • Data-driven; you have experience with numerical analysis with some experience coding. We will teach you the tools (SQL, Python), but you need to feel comfortable with numbers and using data to drive real-world actions
  • Communication; you can communicate clearly and succinctly, orally and in writing; you enjoy a lively discussion. You effortlessly adjust your communication to suit your audience, from business owners to engineers. You don’t have a massive ego and you are happy to change your mind when presented with a good argument
  • Collaboration; you feel comfortable establishing close relationships with key stakeholders across the wider company allowing you to quickly assemble cross-functional teams for product delivery
  • Flexibility; the role will be broad and cover all aspects of credit card product management. Priorities can change quickly and you will spend time debugging smaller problems while also delivering major changes to our product
  • Working at speed; you make things happen. You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility for implementation and design decisions. You work at speed and enjoy a healthy dose of pressure
  • Process management; a solid understanding of the software development life cycle and how to ensure our products are working as intended for our customers
  • Agility; not just Agile (Scrum or Kanban would be nice) but adaptability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high-growth environment
  • Interview process

  • CV screening
  • A quick introduction call with someone from the Talent Team
  • A take-home exercise to complete in your own time + take-home debrief (via video)
  • Final round interview with CPO, MD, Product Lead and Engineering Manager
